Though the building will be closed, customers may still return books and materials in the outside book drops during this time.

&lt;b&gt;February 25, 2010 (Charlotte, NC)&lt;/b&gt; – Local teens will be tuning in at the library as Charlotte Mecklenburg Library celebrates the fourth annual Teen Tech Week March 7-13, 2010. They join thousands of other libraries and schools across the country who are celebrating this year’s theme, "Learn Create Share @ Your Library®.”

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library hopes to attract a wide variety of teenagers and increase local teen technology literacy by offering a series of free classes in libraries throughout Mecklenburg County. For more information, visit the library's teen web site www.libraryloft.org.

One-Shot Video Contest
Celebrate Teen Tech Week by entering a One-Shot Video Contest. Challenge yourself to capture an experience without any editing. Flip cameras will be available to use. A winner will be announced at the end of the week.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will be the featured charity on February 25 at Morton's The Steakhouse restaurant located on 227 West Trade Street. The three-course meal costs $75 and includes tax and tip with $25 going to the Public Library to support literacy, programs, books and technology. Saturday's event will take place at ImaginOn located on 300 East 7th Street from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event is part of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s World Family Festival Series, presented in collaboration with International House. The Festival celebrates artistic expression and communities around the globe, with particular emphasis on Native American, African, Latin and Asian cultures. This project was made possible in part, with funding by the Arts &amp; Science Council and the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Cultural Resources, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

All events take take place at ImaginOn from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
