Scaleybark Branch Library is located on South Boulevard at the intersection with Scaleybark Road just one mile north of Woodlawn and Billy Graham Parkway. It is a convenient location for the many patrons who shop, work, dine or drive home along South Boulevard. Library services include Children's storytime, recreational reading for children and adults, Internet access, word processing, and children's computer encyclopedias and learning games.

The Scaleybark Branch Library staff is pleased to offer a variety of reading materials and reference resources including circulating fiction and nonfiction for adults and children, basic reference resources, Audiotape Books, videotapes, large print books, music cassettes, adult and juvenile browsing paperbacks.

Staff and references resources at the Scaleybark branch provide homework support for elementary and middle school students and general information for every day life and work. Access to several sources of on-line periodicals has expanded the realm of information patrons can access from this small branch.

Scaleybark Branch emphasizes children's programming in the branch as well as in the community and in our neighborhood schools. Come and enjoy weekly storytimes at Scaleybark or call the branch to set up a time for our children's specialist to visit your community organization or classroom.

Scaleybark branch offers seven personal computers for public use. Four computers are available for use by adult patrons and provide Internet access and word processing as well as access to several sources of full-text information from selected magazines and newspapers. Three computers are available for use by children and provide access to encyclopedias and learning games.

Come discover our large selection of Spanish language books, videos, and audio tapes which are available for check out. Scaleybark branch is one of three branch libraries offering a collection of Spanish language materials purchased with funds from a North Carolina State Library grant. For our Asian-American patrons, a selection of Vietnamese and Korean language materials is also available.

Come choose from a variety of mysteries, westerns, science fiction, and large print titles in both hardcover and paperback editions for your recreational reading in the evenings or for your next vacation.
