Friendly Circulation Staff The Sugar Creek Library is located inside the Sugar Creek Service Center on N. Tryon Street just south of the Sugar Creek Road intersection. The building, a venture between the city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, houses the library, David 3 District Police Office and the Joblink Center. Located near some of Charlotte Mecklenburg's oldest and most ethnically and culturally diverse neighborhoods, the facility serves as a civic core for Sugar Creek and surrounding communities.

Enjoy reading in our quiet areas The library houses a diverse collection of books and materials for both adults and children and offers a special collection of works by African American authors, as well as books in Spanish and Vietnamese for children and adults. In addition to a strong popular library collection, the library also offers a rotating collection of large print books, videos, audiotape books, DVDs and rental bestsellers as well as a Business/Career section to accommodate those making career changes or seeking business related information.

Kids have a great time in the children's areas In our Children's Library you will find a full schedule of programs for preschool aged children as well as school aged children. A special children's grotto provides a cozy gathering spot for small storytime groups or a quiet reading place for children and their parents. The children's library also provides an outstanding collection of materials and electronic resources to assist children with their school assignments.

Children's Programs:
Preschool Storytimes on Wednesdays at 10am
School Age Programs Tuesdays at 4pm
Connections That Count/Conexiones Que Cuentan on Mondays at 10:15am

The Sugar Creek branch is more than three times larger in size than its predecessor, the former North Park branch. With the latest in technology available and a state of the art Computer Learning Center with 15 Internet access computers, patrons will find everything that they need. There are also numerous computers dedicated to word processing/homework help resources as well as 8 computers loaded with special children's learning activities.

As a community resource, the branch also provides a large meeting room, which can be divided into two and is available for public use.
